วันนี้ขอมาตั้งข้อสันนิฐานเกี่ยวกับนิทานเรื่องตลาดการค้าสุนัขออนไลน์ 

ยินดีต้อนรับสู่นิทานเรื่อง “ตลาดบ๊อกบ๊อก” นะครับ

บ๊อกบ๊อก คือ ตลาดซื้อขายสุนัขดิจิตอลแห่งหนึ่ง เปิดให้ทำการซื้อขายสุนัข 24 ชั่วโมง ไม่เว้นวันหยุด โดยเปิดให้ซื้อขายเฉพาะกลุ่มสุนัขสายพันธ์ุยอดนิยม ซึ่งการบริการของ “บ๊อกบ๊อก” คือสร้างระบบจับคู่คนซื้อ และคนขายสุนัข โดยไม่ให้เจอหน้ากัน

“บ๊อกบ๊อก” มีระบบเทรดแบบอิเลกทรอนิก เช่นเดียวกับตลาดหุ้น ที่บอกจำนวนสุนัขที่มีคนมาฝากขายไว้ทั้งหมด พร้อมกับราคาเสนอขาย ในขณะที่คนซื้อก็สามารถเสนอราคา (Proposal / Offer) สำหรับสายพันธุ์ที่ตนต้องการ เพียงแค่ระบุจำนวนของสุนัขที่ประสงค์จะซื้อหรือขาย แล้วส่งข้อมูลมาที่ระบบของ บ๊อกบ๊อก หรือ “บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด”

ระบบ”บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด” อาจบอกว่า มีลาบราดอ 5 ตัว ราคาตัวละ 10 บาท คนไหนอยากได้ 5ตัว ให้ฝากเงิน 50 บาทมาที่บ๊อกบ๊อก และสามารถส่งคำสั่งซื้อได้เลย โดยบ๊อกบ๊อกจะรับดูแลสุนัขที่ถูกทำรายการซื้อขายเสร็จสิ้นแล้วที่สำนักงานของบ๊อกบ๊อก โดยจะขึ้นตัวเลขไว้ใน”บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด” ว่ามีสุนัขที่รับฝากไว้ จำนวนเท่าไร

หากบ๊อกบ๊อก บริหารแบบตรงไปตรงมา บ๊อกบ๊อกจะมีค่าใช้จ่ายพอสมควรเลยทีเดียว เนื่องจากรายได้ของบ๊อกบ๊อกมีแค่ค่าธรรมเนียมที่เรียกเก็บจากผู้ใช้งานบ๊อกบ๊อกเทรดเมื่อมีการซื้อหรือขายเท่านั้น (เก็บทั้งจากผู้ซื้อและผู้ขาย) แต่การที่บ๊อกบ๊อกรับฝากสุนัขไว้ มีค่าใช้จ่ายคือผู้ดูแล อาหารสัตว์ ค่าน้ำ ค่าไฟ ค่าทำความสะอาด และอื่นๆ

บ๊อกบ๊อกจึงคิดแผนการอันแสนชาญฉลาดขึ้น เพราะบ๊อกบ๊อกมองว่ายังไงคนซื้อสุนัขต้องใช้เวลาหลายวันกว่าจะมารับสุนัขกลับไป คนซื้อก็ไม่เคยเห็นคนขายอยู่แล้ว เห็นแค่ตัวเลขกับราคาที่เสนอขายในระบบเท่านั้น แถมบางคนยังบอกกับบ๊อกบ๊อกอีกว่า ถ้าหากมีคนต้องการหรือสามารถขายต่อได้ในราคาที่ดี ก็จะขอฝากขายต่อเลยโดยไม่ต้องขับรถมารับกลับไปด้วยซ้ำ 

บ๊อกบ๊อกเห็นโอกาสทองคำในการสร้างบัญชีซื้อขายของตัวเองขึ้นมา แล้วเสกตัวเลขจำนวนสุนัขขึ้นมาในบัญชีของตน จากนั้นตั้งค่าให้ระบบ AI robot ส่งคำสั่งเสนอขายสุนัขที่ตนไม่ได้มีอยู่จริงไปบนระบบ”บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด”ทันที เกิดการซื้อขาย จับคู่กันแบบ real-time โดยผู้ซื้อไม่รู้เลยสักนิดว่าตนถูกหลอกขายอากาศ เพราะออเดอร์ฝั่ง bid ที่เสนอขายในระบบไม่ใช่มาจากเจ้าของสุนัขจริงๆ และไม่ได้มีสุนัขจริงๆ และด้วยความที่เป็นตลาดดิจิตอล บ๊อกบ๊อกจึงโปรแกรมระบบซื้อขายนี้ได้อย่างชาญฉลาด ผ่านการศึกษาพฤติกรรมการเทรดและราคา พร้อมกับเทียบราคาจากตลาดข้างเคียงบ้างเป็นครั้งคราว เพื่อไม่ให้การเทรดโดยระบบ เกิดความเสียหาย

บ๊อกบ๊อกจึงเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว แบบก้าวกระโดด สร้างรายได้เป็นกอบเป็นกำ ลงโฆษณา ประชาสัมพันธ์ในสื่อชั้นนำ และบนป้ายโฆษณาทั่วเมือง เพราะเป็นตลาดซื้อขายที่มีสุนัขหลากหลายสายพันธุ์ให้เลือกซื้อ และผู้คนก็นิยมมาช๊อปปิ้งบ บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด เพราะมีสภาพคล่องสูง มีผู้ซื้อและผู้ขายจำนวนมาก แต่เหตุการณ์ที่ไม่คาดฝันก็เกิดขึ้น

เกิดความกังวลเรื่องโรคระบาดที่ทำให้สุนัขเสียชีวิต ทำให้ผู้ซื้อสุนัขบางส่วนที่ทำรายการซื้อสำเร็จและได้ฝากสุนัขของตนไว้ที่บ๊อกบ๊อกเกิดความไม่สบายใจ ซึ่งมีอยู่สองกลุ่มใหญ่ๆ  กลุ่มแรก ตื่นตระหนก เพราะสุนัขบางสายพันธุ์ที่ตนซื้อมานั้นมีราคาสูงขึ้นกว่าตอนที่ซื้อมามาก และเกรงว่าบ๊อกบ๊อกจะดูแลได้ไม่เต็มที่เนื่องจากรับฝากสุนัขไว้มาก จึงขอให้บ๊อกบ๊อกนำสุนัขมาส่งให้ ส่วนกลุ่มที่สอง กลับคิดว่าหากขายสุนัขที่ตนฝากไว้แทนที่จะรับกลับไปเลี้ยง แล้วค่อยกลับมาซื้อใหม่ตอนราคาลดลงมาแล้วนั้น น่าจะดีกว่า  คนทั้งสองกลุ่ม จึงล๊อกอินเข้าสู่ระบบ บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรดเพื่อส่งข้อความให้บ๊อกบ๊อกดำเนินการตามวัตถุประสงค์ของแต่ละคน 

แต่….บ๊อกบ๊อกเทรด “ปิดการให้บริการชั่วคราว” ใช่แล้ว บ๊อกบ๊อกต้องปิดสำนักงานซื้อขายด้วย และปิดช่องทางการติดต่อทั้งหมดชั่วคราว

อ่าวเห้ย….ทำไมถึงเป็นเช่นนั้นนะหรือ? ก็เพราะบ๊อกบ๊อกไม่เคยมีสุนัขที่เสนอขายคนทั้งสองกลุ่มนั้นตั้งแต่แรกไงหละ (ย้อนกลับไปดู “บรรทัดจุดประเด็น”) 

ทั้งนี้ ก็เพราะบ๊อกบ๊อกคาดว่าตลาดมีขึ้นก็ต้องมีลง เมื่อคนซื้อที่ราคาแพง สุดท้ายราคามันต้องตกลงมาบ้าง เช่นบ๊อกบ๊อกขายสุนัขแบบไม่มีสุนัขไป 10 ตัว ในราคาตัวละ 10 บาท และได้เงินมาแล้ว 100 บาท ฝ่ายบริหารบ๊อกบ๊อกคาดการณ์ไว้ว่า คนที่ซื้อ10 ตัวนี้คงยังไม่ขาย หรือยังไม่มารับกลับไปในเร็ววันแน่ๆ และอีกไม่นาน บ๊อกบ๊อกก็สามารถไปหาซื้อสุนัข 10 ตัวนี้จากตลาดอื่นได้ในราคาตัวละ 5 บาท ได้กำไรตั้งเท่าตัว รอสักสองอาทิตย์ค่อยไปซื้อมาเก็บไว้ก็ได้ แถมยังไม่ต้องเสียค่าอาหารในการเลี้ยงสุนัขเหล่านี้ฟรีๆ ในช่วงเวลานี้อีกด้วย

แต่เพราะเกิดเรื่องไม่คาดคิด คือโรคระบาด สุนัขล้มหายตายจากไปเยอะมาก ทำให้ปริมาณสุนัขลดลง และราคาสุนัขเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างไม่เคยเป็นมาก่อน ทำให้บ๊อกบ๊อกหาสุนัขมาคืนให้กับผู้ซื้อไม่ได้ และเป็นที่มาของการปิดตลาดชั่วคราว โดยบอกว่า”ระบบไฟฟ้าขัดข้อง” นั่นเอง

Today, I’d like to share a hypothesis about the fable called “The Online Dog Trading Market.”

Welcome to the story of “The BokBok Market.”

BokBok is a digital marketplace for trading dogs, operating 24 hours a day with no holidays. It focuses on trading only popular dog breeds. BokBok’s service is to create a system that matches dog buyers and sellers without them ever meeting face-to-face.
BokBok has an electronic trading system just like a stock market. It shows the total number of dogs that sellers have listed along with their asking prices. Buyers, in turn, can submit their own offers for the breeds they want by entering the desired quantity and price, then sending this data to the BokBok system—also known as “BokBok Trade.”

For example, BokBok Trade might show there are 5 Labradors available for 10 baht each. Buyers who want all 5 can deposit 50 baht with BokBok and place their order immediately. Once the purchase is complete, BokBok will take custody of the traded dogs at its facility. The total number of dogs in custody will then be displayed in the BokBok Trade system.

If BokBok operates honestly, it would incur considerable expenses, since its only income comes from transaction fees charged to both buyers and sellers when trades occur. Meanwhile, taking care of boarded dogs costs money for staff, food, water, electricity, cleaning, and more.

BokBok, seeking a clever plan, realized that buyers would often take days before coming to pick up their dogs. Moreover, since buyers never meet sellers and only see prices and listings online, many even told BokBok that if another buyer offered a good price, they would rather let BokBok resell their dog than come to retrieve it.

Seeing a golden opportunity, BokBok decided to create its own trading account—and magically fabricated numbers representing non-existent dogs. It then programmed AI bots to place sell orders for these imaginary dogs on the BokBok Trade platform. Trades were matched in real time, and buyers had no idea they were purchasing nothing out of thin air.The bid orders shown on the market weren’t from real dog owners, and no actual dogs existed. Because this was a digital market, BokBok could cleverly design its algorithms to mimic genuine price movements and even reference nearby markets to keep trading activity looking realistic and stable.

BokBok thus expanded rapidly, earning enormous profits, running ads in major media outlets, and covering the city with billboards—touting itself as a marketplace offering many breeds and high liquidity. People flocked to trade on BokBok Trade because of the ease of buying and selling. But an unexpected event emerged.

Now comes the back-swan event, a dog epidemic caused widespread deaths. Buyers who had previously purchased dogs and left them in BokBok’s care grew anxious. There were two main groups:

• The first group panicked, as their purchased breeds had risen sharply in price and they doubted BokBok’s ability to care for so many dogs, requesting immediate delivery.

• The second group figured it might be better to sell their boarded dogs at high prices now and buy them back later once the market cooled.

Both groups logged in to BokBok Trade to submit their requests.
But… BokBok Trade “services are temporarily unavailable. suspended its service.” and the worst part are, BokBok closes down its office and suspends all communication channels temporarily.

Why did this happen?
Because BokBok never had any of the dogs those two groups owned in the first place. (Refer back to “The key line.”)

BokBok’s plan was simple: markets rise and fall. If it “sold” 10 nonexistent dogs for 10 baht each and earned 100 baht, it expected prices to drop later. The management assumed that buyers wouldn’t redeem or resell soon.Later, BokBok could buy 10 real dogs elsewhere for 5 baht each, doubling its profit—without having paid for food or care in the meantime.

But the unforeseen epidemic wiped out huge numbers of dogs, shrinking supply and pushing prices to unprecedented highs. BokBok couldn’t find any dogs to cover its outstanding trades, forcing it to shut down the market “temporarily,” citing an “electrical malfunction.”
